Want to direct your attention to the amazing projects that came out of Gameheads this year. 👀 🕹

https://gameheads.itch.io/

These young developers, some of them first timers, never cease to amaze with their creations. Fun, funny, exciting, insightful, they offer a whole spectrum of new perspectives and experiences, and give me hope for the future of the industry (especially during these trying times).

Particular shout out to Team Oldheads and their game Pliant, which is a tight platformer about a shapeshifting sticky note named Terry who must navigate a '90s-style cubicle farm to reach the outbox and its promise of vacation. Imagine if Pixar made a version of Office Space about code-switching or... better yet, just go play it. 📤 😎

I'd also be lying if I said I didn't want to try the alt.control Competitive Waffle Game because 1. What the--? and 2. Waffles. 🤤

And to the team that makes all this possible -- Damon Packwood, Carlos Cruz, Zoram M., Paul Rybicki, Randi Dean, and others -- your efforts to provide a space that promotes learning and skills development makes the world better and brighter.

Ten years.

To my Kaos brothers and sisters: I love you all and cherish the years we spent together.

We made a game, one I'm still proud of, but the disc is merely the artifact -- it's those memories that are indelibly stamped.

Thank you for letting me into your lives.

Thank you for continuing to be a huge part of mine.
