Crypto Crackdown: Information Reporting in a Digital Asset World
I had the distinct pleasure of representing KPMG US at the opening bell for Nasdaq alongside our CEO, Paul Knopp, NYO Managing Partner Yesenia Scheker Izquierdo and our Chief Diversity Officer, Elena Richards in honor of the firm’s 125th anniversary.
Later on, I spent the other half of my day volunteering at a summer camp held at The Armory. Each volunteer was paired up with a child and helped them put together a bookcase while talking to them about our favorite books growing up. We also held a book fair where each volunteer had to pitch their book selection to the kids and sell them on the idea of taking it home with them. My pick, The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, was a hit!
The volunteer closing ceremony included each kid presenting us with engraved batons signify the passing on of knowledge and our love for the book we selected.
Truth be told, this is the first volunteer experience where I felt that I made a direct impact in someone’s life. Can’t think of a better way to spend my time than to talk about my favorite books with children who aspire to be avid readers.
