This past year's cultivated energy will accompany me from now on and will remain a pivotal element for whatever that has to come along. I am grateful for all the learnings of past experiences... ☀ Build your own self care program - treat it as your compass! 🌱

One aspect I am currently embracing is my self care program. I always had trouble to free time for myself; do things for my own joy, for my self care. I always thought it was a waste of productive time. Working and climb the career lader was the goal. Leaving myself last, was the norm.

Returning to my self care program; there is no easy short cut, it is important you reach self governance to maintain habits. The “why” we are doing something and integrating the same is crucial. Everybody knows the 21 day theory about habits, and lets face it, who has not tried it … by day 5 you already lost motivation and hope… it does not always work.

Once you have self governance (self awareness) it is easy to identify what your body needs, how your biorhythm works, when to stop, what questions you need to ask yourself in order to identify what is going on emotionally, physically, etc… and act consequently. It is not a piece of cake! Getting to know “you” takes time, patience, try and error, diligence, honestly, self-esteem and a lot of self-compation. It is ok, you have time, and we learn by failing. By the way; coaching helps you discover your universe, quicker!

While searching for answers, start listing aspects that feeds you with vibrant energy; anything that you love; being, doing, touching, smelling, listening, tasting... Keep working towards self discovery. You can treat it as a life time project; you have the whole life to discover yourself but it is important to have the radar on and work at least once a week or it will die.

I treat the self care program as my compass. The list helps me identify and select what I need when I start feeling confused. I go through the list and select what makes more sense based on how my “current self” feels at that instant time.

You need to cultivate peace, balance and good staff to give peace, balance and good staff. If you do not do it for yourself, it will be incredibly difficult to give something you do not have...

This list is alive 💛

Self care program:

  • Beautiful music
  • Sunlight
  • Meditation
  • Good amount of water intake
  • Stretching
  • Wine to celebrate small and peaceful moments
  • Celebrate love with my partner
  • Food from the area and low on conservatives
  • I have my co-active coach that guides me
  • Play as the child I was…
  • Allow myself to sleep and or rest instead of dragging myself like a zombie (when life allows it...)
  • Essential oils to find balance
  • I have my physiotherapist and my osteopath that helps my body
  • I have my book about emotions that helps me identify how to untangle each emotion.
  • Work in the garden and observe nature
  • Swimming, yoga, running & climbing as my sports
  • Social life with family and friends

Do you have a self care program? Tell me one item you would like to incorporate in your life right now.

Start small. 😊
