Associate Veterinarian

Clarissa Carver is a passionate fourth-year veterinary student at Colorado State University (CSU), on track to graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in May 2023.

Her goal is to enhance public education in animal husbandry and establish collaborative relationships with pet owners to ensure the optimal health of their animals.

Upon graduation, Clarissa aspires to work in a private practice specializing in large animals, equine care, or mixed animal practice with specific interests in nutrition, sports medicine and rehabilitation, reproduction, and metabolic diseases.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences, a Bachelor's Degree in Equestrian/Equine Studies, a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition, all from CSU.

Clarissa has gained practical experience through various roles such as being an Associate Veterinarian at Calhan Veterinary Clinic, a DVM Student Ambassador, a Graduate Research Assistant, a Tutor, and a Veterinary Assistant at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Her diverse experiences and academic pursuits have equipped her with a solid foundation to excel in the field of veterinary medicine with a focus on large animals and equine care.
