Have you watched footage from the "listening session" or any of the rallies held around the country this week? It's heartening to see so many young people protesting and calmly, insistently demanding action from their representatives.
Time will tell what Federal and state governments will choose to do, but the great Dan Rather said this reminds him of the protests in Birmingham. I hope today's young people will be able to break the status quo the way the Birmingham campaign did.
Since I've been able to think of little else but Parkland since 2/14 and really don't know what to say anymore, I'm simply going to dedicate this #BreakFreeFriday to every student and the staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and say #NeverAgain.
