Claude de Ville de Goyet is a prominent figure in the field of public health and disaster management with an illustrious career spanning various important roles and contributions.

As the first director of the Research Center on Disaster Epidemiology (CRED) in Belgium and the Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Disaster management program, he played a pivotal role in coordinating international health responses to natural disasters and conflicts in Latin America and the Caribbean for over 25 years.

Claude Goyet has been involved in key assessments following major disasters such as earthquakes in Iran, Pakistan, and Haiti, hurricanes, floods, and conflicts across the globe.
