Professional Background
Claudia Olaizola is an esteemed social entrepreneur dedicated to driving positive change and social impact globally. Since November 2017, Claudia has served as the Co-founder and President of Impact Hub Caracas C.A., a social innovation space that fosters entrepreneurship and collaboration in Venezuela. She also Co-founded Hub Caracas A.C. in October 2013, laying the foundation for a vibrant community focused on sustainable development and innovation.
With extensive professional experience in financial services—spanning over 14 years in various esteemed institutions such as Citi NY, Citi Venezuela, and Banesco—Claudia has established herself as a leader in microfinance. Notably, during her tenure at Banesco, she co-founded Banca Comunitaria Banesco, which provides financial services to low-income families. Her passion for promoting social justice and economic empowerment has taken her to 51 countries, where she has implemented programs benefitting underserved communities.
Claudia's leadership extends beyond her roles at Impact Hub; she has been an integral part of the Global Impact Hub Association, serving as a board member from 2015 to 2018 and contributing as a Membership Committee member since August 2018. In her role as Global Partnerships Lead from July 2018 to January 2019, she helped forge strategic alliances aimed at enhancing social entrepreneurship worldwide.

She holds a Systems Engineer degree from Universidad Metropolitana in Venezuela, an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and a Master of Finance from IESA. Notably, she studied at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
