We’ve just wrapped up another fantastic season of the Italian Club at Familia ry. 🦄

Belingual language clubs, led by dedicated volunteers, provide a wonderful space for families with young children to come together every other week to play, sing, craft, and have fun. These clubs support children’s language and identity development while giving families the chance to immerse themselves in their language and culture within a community.  🌍

Currently there are clubs in:

▪ English ▪ Italian ▪ Farsi ▪ Arabic ▪ German ▪ Swahili ▪ Russian ▪ Spanish

Important to know: 1️⃣ The whole family can take part in the club. 2️⃣ Each club meets every other week. 3️⃣ Children must always attend with at least one parent or responsible adult. 4️⃣ Don’t forget to bring a snack for your child(ren).

If you’re interested in registering or becoming a volunteer, click on this link:  https://lnkd.in/dj_6PaME

Join us in celebrating and preserving our languages and cultures! ❤️

It's already been a month into this exciting journey with Helsinki Incubators #Tremor where continuous growth and learning is invaluable.

This week's workshop, led by Adithya Varadarajan, focused on Design Thinking. Here are some useful key takeaways for early-stage founders like myself. We discussed going from uncertainty to clarity. There are 3 basic steps to it:

1️⃣ Understand What is the problem? Why is this a problem? Who does this problem affect?

2️⃣ Create How might we solve the problem? How is it better than alternatives? How do we ensure we can have impact?

3️⃣ Deliver How do we implement this? What sort of partnership do we need?

What supports these 3 phases is the need to validate. You need to validate at every phase. Did we understand the problem correctly? Is the idea viable/feasible/desirable? Is it having the intended impact?

It certainly made me think and got me working on those thoughts. 🤯 If you have any book or podcast suggestions on this topic, please share them in the comments. 🙏

Special thanks to Pete Karumo for the organization, for asking the hard questions and for making excellent coffee. ☕
