This post isn’t exactly about work. It isn't about the well-deserved awards that brilliant minds won at Cannes this year, new projects, campaigns, account pitches, or the latest AI news. Instead, it reflects my personal journey and the fulfilling career in advertising that has opened countless doors for me. This profession, which I love, has been more generous than I ever anticipated. Thanks to my profession, last week, I became a CITIZEN of the United States! YEP... It feels just right and SO good. Now, my heart not only carries the colors of Brazil, which I love dearly, but also the red, white, and blue of the USA.
It’s been a journey made possible by the unconditional support of my family, former partners, friends, colleagues, and amazing clients! Looking back at almost 9 years living here, I must acknowledge some truly special people who have helped me achieve this honor. They embraced me from day one, helping me navigate a new culture and the challenges any immigrant faces (+heavy winters in Detroit and NY and hurricanes in Miami). I am and will always be eternally thankful to everyone who has supported me through those years and continues to do so. The list is long, but you know who you are.
