Claudio Ricci

Contract Research Associate presso INSTM - Italian Consortium on Materiel Science and Technology

Claudio Ricci is a professional with a strong background in stem cell biology, induced differentiation, and tissue engineering.

He has expertise in isolating human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), culture and expansion of MSCs, and differentiation of MSCs into osteogenic and neurogenic lineages.

Claudio is skilled in using histological methods for endothelial assessment in Huvec and employing 3D scaffolds for cell culture, including electrospun scaffolds based on Polycaprolactone and Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid).

He has experience in modification of scaffold surfaces, designing in vitro tissue models, and isolating primary cell lines from patients for research purposes.

His proficiency includes electron microscopy for cells-scaffold analysis and molecular docking and dynamics using various programs for compound design and protein modeling.

Claudio Ricci holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomolecular Science with a focus on Biomaterials from the University of Pisa and a Laurea magistrale in Chimica Farmaceutica from Università di Pisa.

He has worked as a Contract Research Associate at INSTM - Italian Consortium on Material Science and Technology, and has previously held positions as a Fellowship, PhD Student, and Research Collaborator at the University of Pisa.
