Highlights
"Love is the greatest of all the commandments—all others hang upon it. It is our focus as followers of the living Christ. It is the one trait that, if developed, will most improve our lives." —Joseph B. Wirthlin, October 2007 General Conference
With the evil events of yesterday's shooting my prayers are with the families and those affected by this disgusting act of violence.
President Thomas S. Monson explained:
“Some of you may at times have cried out in your suffering, wondering why our Heavenly Father would allow you to go through whatever trials you are facing. …
Our mortal life, however, was never meant to be easy or consistently pleasant. Our Heavenly Father … knows that we learn and grow and become refined through hard challenges, heartbreaking sorrows, and difficult choices. Each one of us experiences dark days when our loved ones pass away, painful times when our health is lost, feelings of being forsaken when those we love seem to have abandoned us. These and other trials present us with the real test of our ability to endure.”
Lastly, Christ said “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
“The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache.” -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
How do we REALLY view Monday's? Are we caught up in the same crowd complaining 😩😩 about taking to the tasks of the week? Or do we set our own path and attitude to be motivated, inspired, and grateful to start a new week? A new week of overcoming fears, find joy in small or big successes, and even being grateful for simple things we have.
You may be stuck in a job you don’t like, feeling like school is endless, or maybe you are stuck doing neither because of a difficult situation. Let me tell you...in 2018 with the resources at our hands we have the ability to start, re-start, or continue on a path of success.
It may not be easy dealing with people, projects, or a number of different wrenches that get stuck in our wheel, but if we can take the right attitude to be teachable, grateful, and happy...things will always work out!
Live Monday like it's a New Years perspective
