Thank you, Kogan Page
My 30 Day MBA in Business Finance has just had the Italian Edition published. A big thank you, as ever to the fantastic work by my publisher, Kogan Page.
Having a book on Finance published in Italian is particularly flattering. Italy is the home of Luca Pacioli, the 'father of accounting.' Pacioli's warning in 1477, ' that a person should not go to sleep at night 'until the debits equalled the credits' is as sound a piece of advice today as it was then!
That makes eleven languages, the titles have been translated into. Great work, KP – keep it up!

Whose economic mess is it?
I watched Jeremy Hunt and Rachel Reeves, old and new Chancellors of the Exchequer, respectively, give wildly differing views of the state of the UK economies they inherited, on Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday. Reeves claims to be inheriting a mess, and Hunt said that in 2010 they inherited a much bigger mess.
In 2010 Liam Byrne, the chief secretary to the Treasury under Gordon Brown, left his infamous note, "I'm afraid that there is no money." But outgoing Tory Chancellor Reginald Maudling left a note for the incoming Labour government in 1964 saying, “Good luck, old cock … Sorry to leave it in such a mess.”
Sadly, the truth seems to be that both Labour and Conservative governments are as bad as each other. Real GDP per capita in the UK has been on the slide since 2007. True other countries have seen GDP dip, but by far less. Read the full article but have a stiff drink close by.
