Colin Boyle

Colin Boyle is the Board Chair at the Bay Area Global Health Alliance and a lecturer at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.3 He teaches graduate courses on leadership and strategy for social enterprises and nonprofit organizations.45

Previously, Boyle was the Deputy Director of UCSF’s Institute for Global Health Sciences (GHS), where he worked from 2012 to 2020 to improve health and reduce inequities worldwide.245 Before joining UCSF, he spent 15 years with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Partner and Managing Director, leading social impact projects and helping organizations develop and market new products to combat disease.145

Boyle has also served on the board of the Oakland Museum of California.45 His expertise and research interests include the strategy and management of non-profit and social sector organizations, impact measurement and evaluation, global health policy and economics (including financing and systems reform), and product development and access to medicines in low-income countries.1
