⚰️ Mockups are dead. Long live Mockups! 👑
Closing the iteration gap in product development is critical in order to ship fast. I've been using this workflow to 2-3x my output (and yes, quality see why below). Give it a try.
🚨This uses V0.dev for mocking up a design and Cursor code editor (IDE) to implement the final version.
I still start with paper. But now from there, I can rapidly get to validation and into code within minutes.
v0.dev is an AI UI generation tool. It create beautiful working UI in seconds.
Here's the streamlined process:
- Rapid Prototyping: Create UI designs instantly on v0.dev
- Quick Validation: Share the v0.dev link with stakeholders for immediate feedback
- Iterate in Real-time: Adjust designs based on feedback, still in v0.dev
- Code Generation: Once approved, move to code with a single click
Only when your design is validated and approved do you proceed to code:
- In Cursor IDE, create a new folder
- In v0.dev Copy the install command (see image) from your approved v0.dev design
- Paste and run the command in your Cursor IDE terminal This brings the code over from V0 and installs all dependencies.
- Run "NPM Run Dev" or equivalent to see your validated design come to life
- Wire it up to your back-end.
💡Why does quality improve.
- Focused thinking time increases because the gap between inspiration, activation and feedback is a tighter loop.
- More iterations because the re-dos are faster.
- Easier to get alignment with stakeholders. Changes can be made right in front of them.
- Product and Design collaborating vs handoff.
Also:
- Saves time on design handoffs to devs.
- Code is ready to go for developers

It's time to reimagine home financing: COLOOPING
What if the first question on a mortgage application was not about how much money but what a home means to you? What if a bank didn't just lend money but gave people peace of mind in home security by helping people get the home they need at the best price and value possible?
We need to fix the fundamental disconnect in today's market:
The purpose: a home to raise families or a city flat to be in the heart The product: decades of debt
I've worked in the mortgage industry. It's about the money, not the home, not the family, not the community. My experience
Here's what's true for many:
- People want a place to nurture their lives, not a financial burden
- The future is good until it isn't - we don't want to lose our homes when things go bad
New entrants* have a unique opportunity to be different. It's not just about lower interest rates, but tons of interest in what actually matters - creating homes and communities. By focusing on value rather than just debt, the bank can increase their LTV ratio and all the benefits that come with that.
Let's re-imagine a new entrant into the Irish mortgage landscape that:
- First tries to understand the customer's real need: a home to raise kids or a flat in the city
- Understands models that actually work, like the Social, affordable housing models studied by the Irish government* .3 'Loops' with agencies to help people get the home they need, not just the debt required
Nothing new here - great orgs in Ireland like SOA have helped guide the government on what social and affordable housing can be implemented. The models are in place across Europe. The financing isn't (at scale).
Instead of market-driven funding for ever-increasing costs, we need life-long solutions focused on: a) Affordability, value, and real needs b) Ensuring lowest prices and highest quality materials c) Innovation first, but using proven models
