And let's not forget, Sam Altman going beyond his remit, is most probably dangerous for future generations...
In fariness to Musk, for once I don't think his ego is in play here, but he sees the danger of Altman, after years on the fringes in SV, getting his day in the sun after wanting for so long to be in the "big boys" club. Maybe, ironically, Musk sees the dangers of a egocentric individual who wants to "win" whatever the cost. AI is by far the most important technology of our time and it's speed should not be dictated by such a small bunch of people, especially when their interests are toally misaligned with the greater human good...
