So impressed by the team that put together todays Diversity@Broadcom Leadership Talk, and very proud to be at a company that values and promotes diversity in #STEM.
Our guests today were Dr. Quincy Kissiedu-Brown who serves as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and founder of blackcomputeHER, along with Paula Golden, President of the BROADCOM FOUNDATION
I particularly liked Dr. Brown's ideas about "iteration not failure" and how that builds knowledge and confidence. Also when she discussed how important it is to have safe learning spaces for kids, both in and out of schools, and how companies can play an ongoing role in sharing knowledge and opening doors, it resonated with me personally both as the sort of thing I benefited from as a kid and that I participate in through local charities. Buildlig on that, it was great to hear from Paula Golden about how the Broadcom Foundation is sponsoring over 50 science fairs globally and helping disadvantaged kids get into STEM.
Thank you Sally Doherty, Ph.D., Jill Turner and Broadcom Inc. for continuing to lead the way!

At Broadcom Inc. we honored Veterans Day early, with a really insightful and inspiring interview with several of the Veterans making a difference across our company. Thank you to Jill Turner & Dr. Alexis Black Bjorlin, PhD for leading our Diversity@Broadcom Leadership Talk and interviewing Dr. Sally Doherty, Ph.D. - a fascinating look at how dreams of being an astronaut led to the United States Air Force Academy and eventually to running a division of a Fortune 500 company.
No wonder Forbes ranked us as one of the #ForbesWorldsBestEmployers for 2021. #WomenInSTEM
