Corinne Biencourt

Corinne Biencourt is a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Political Economy. Originally from Southern Oregon, she is passionate about rural areas and the influence of economic challenges on local politics. Corinne's current research focuses on contemporary rural conservative movements. She has broken ground at Berkeley Law by becoming the first undergraduate elected to the editorial board and serves as an Article Editor for the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice. In this role, she leads the substantive editing process for main journal articles and supervises a team of law students. Beyond her academic pursuits, she also plays a pivotal role in addressing sexual violence policies on campus as the Chair of the ASUC Sexual Violence Commission and collaborates with the undergraduate community through roles on the PATH to Care Student Advisory Board and the Coordinated Campus Review Team. Corinne's future plans include working in government before embarking on a Ph.D. in political science.
