I hope all of my pharma friends are having an excellent Asembia AXS24 summit this week! At Sigla Sciences we're working with a number of pharma clients around market access (HCP marketing, billing & coding, access & reimbursement) and digital technologies (AI, DTx, and med devices). We have a few openings left in the next couple days, so I'd love to connect if you're attending.

I'm excited to share that I've recently joined Global MedTeam as an advisor. Global MedTeam is on a mission to connect talented nurses from around the world with exceptional healthcare facilities across the United States. The company is led by Bhavdeep Singh who has served in senior leadership roles at major healthcare organizations like Fortis Healthcare. I'm inspired by his and Global MedTeam's vision to make a meaningful impact on healthcare systems worldwide.

On that note, I wanted to share this insightful article (https://lnkd.in/gr97xdCk) from NYN Media titled "Immigrants hold the key to solving New York's health worker shortage". The author, Mohammed Shahidul Islam, makes a compelling case that New York has thousands of trained medical professionals, many of them immigrants, who could help fill critical gaps in our state's healthcare workforce - if only given the opportunity to leverage their skills and experience.

The article cites eye-opening statistics, like over 75% of New York hospitals struggling to fill key positions, and the state having less than 40% of the primary care professionals needed. Allowing internationally trained physicians and nurses to practice could be a big part of the solution. Proposed legislation in the State Senate and Assembly aims to create pathways for those with medical credentials from abroad to obtain permits to practice in New York.

At Global MedTeam, we recognize the tremendous potential of internationally educated nurses to strengthen the U.S. healthcare system. By breaking down barriers and creating opportunities, we can tap into a deep pool of talent to deliver the high-quality care patients need and deserve.

If your healthcare facility is facing staffing shortages and needs support in recruiting exceptional nurses, I encourage you to reach out. Global MedTeam is building an innovative platform to efficiently match skilled nurses with hospitals in need. Together, we can work to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes across the country. Feel free to send me a message to discuss how we can help meet your organization's needs.
