Courtney Laabs

Chief Operating Officer at Neuro-ID, Inc.

Courtney Laabs is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Neuro-ID, a Series B, venture-backed startup that uses technology to translate human digital behavior into actionable insights, allowing companies to better understand the identities and intent of new digital users.13 Before joining Neuro-ID, she worked with startups in the retail, insurance, and manufacturing industries.1 Laabs met Jack Alton, the CEO of Neuro-ID, in 2012 and they followed each other's careers.1

Laabs is passionate about startups and enjoys building companies from the ground up.12 She was initially hesitant to take the role at Neuro-ID because she had just had her first child, but the technology and opportunity were too appealing to pass up.12 Laabs' first role at Neuro-ID was both customer success manager and COO.2 She focuses on bringing together great people who want to create an impact while working hard for a common goal.2

Prior to Neuro-ID, Laabs had already started two successful businesses and consulted with numerous others.2 One of her first business ventures was a catering company called C-Squared, which she ran with her sister.2 She is a 12-time-lettering athlete in high school, a Division I field hockey player in college, and a high-performing triathlete.2 Laabs is also an entrepreneur, a mother, and part of the team of women leaders at Neuro-ID.2

Laabs lives in Whitefish, Montana, with her husband, Kelly, their two daughters, Parker and Quinn, and their yellow lab, Fenway.1 She enjoys skiing with her family.1 Laabs draws inspiration from Rosa Parks, and her favorite quote is: “Knowing what must be done, does away with fear”.1
