Seven years have passed since completion of my military career, which took me to many operational theatres around the world including Iraq and Afghanistan.

I often look back and reflect on how life has turned out, as a veteran you hold many qualities to actually make an impact in civilian life.

Yes you have to work hard, you have to go that extra mile but it's worth it. life outside of the military has been challenging but definitely worth it.

If your thinking of leaving the forces don't let people tell you the grass isn't greener. You can make that grass as green as you like, by taking your hard work, commitment, and integrity with you.

You can never take the soldier out of the individual it remains in your core, so my only advice is don't change remember the values drilled into you and strive for success.

Is it luck or hard work that makes you what you are today?
