Craig Turner

Craig Turner is a consultant ecologist, conservationist, freelance expedition leader, photographer, and writer with over twenty years of experience in field research, expedition management, and project management in both temperate and tropical ecosystems across various countries.

His specialties include protected species and habitat surveys, conservation action planning, natural resource assessment, geographical information systems (GIS), environmental impact assessment (EIA), ecological impact assessment (EcIA), environmental management planning, ecological training, statistical analysis, scientific communication (written and oral), project development, partner liaison, and grant procurement/management.

Craig's educational background includes a PhD in Environmental Management (part-time) from Royal Holloway, University of London, an MSc in Ecology from the University of Aberdeen, and a BSc in Biology from the University of Southampton.

He is currently a Consultant Ecologist and Co-Founder at Wychwood Environmental Ltd. Previously, he has held positions such as Conservation Biologist at the Zoological Society of London, Principal Consultant at JFA Environmental Planning, Director of Ecology at JFA Environmental Planning, Director of Science at Coral Cay Conservation, and Terrestrial Science Co-ordinator at Coral Cay Conservation.

With a focus on conservation communication, Craig is expanding his work into photography and writing assignments, welcoming proposals in this area.
