In Norway, an enormous number of traps are lost in the sea: a staggering 30,000 traps every year. Shellfish and fish die in the traps, 24/7. Despite frantic cleanup efforts costing tens of millions, it's not making a difference. The cleanup cost per trap is several thousand kroner, and we are nowhere near solving the problem. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results," as the saying goes.

Why do we only hear about cleanup efforts when the same number of traps will be lost again next year?

We developed the preventive solution TrapSaver™. No change to the equipment is needed, just replace the existing buoy with TrapSaver™. Take responsibility and ask for "the only buoy with a built-in backup buoy" that prevents trap loss and makes it much easier to find lost equipment. Here it is being tested by a pilot customer in Norway.
