Dale Klapmeier, a pioneer in the aviation industry, co-founded Cirrus with his brother Alan after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Inspired by a wrecked Champ in northern WI, the Klapmeier brothers embarked on a journey to innovate and revolutionize general aviation.

Their commitment to technological innovation and safety led to the creation of the SR20 in 1994 and the Vision SF50, the world's first single-personal jet.

As the former CEO of Cirrus, Dale led the company to become the largest producer of pistons, with the SR22 remaining the best-selling GA plane for over 20 years.

Passionate about aviation education and advancement, Dale has been involved in various aviation organizations and was inducted into multiple aviation halls of fame.

His legacy in the aviation industry continues to inspire and drive innovation.
