Highlights
This past week, I had the opportunity to attend the Epicor P21 Worldwide User Group conference in Chicago.
One of my favorite moments was a conversation with an IT Director from a company that’s been in business since the 1930s. They’ve been managing everything out of spreadsheets for as long as they can remember, but they’re ready to explore new possibilities.
As we discussed their desired business processes, I started sketching a high-level diagram. “Let’s begin with what you envision, regardless of how things look today. Then, based on the applications we are working with, we can scope out how to support your specific process with integration.”
The IT Director looked at me and said, “You make this seem so easy.”
I smiled and replied, “Once you start putting pen to paper and have the right tools to support you, it really is.”
That was the turning point in our conversation. The IT Director handed me their badge and requested, “Please scan my badge, we need to talk.”
Moments like these remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do—helping businesses unlock their potential through thoughtful integration and automation.
