Dan Cotter is an experienced lawyer, prolific writer, speaker, and mentor with a community focus.

He studied Law at University of Illinois Chicago School of Law where he earned his J.D. and Accounting at Monmouth College for his B.A. He also holds a High School Diploma with Honors from Gordon Tech High School.

Dan has a diverse professional background having been associated with various organizations including Dickinson Wright, The Chicago Bar Association, ProVisors, and more.

He is the author of 'The Chief Justices: The Seventeen Men of the Center Seat, Their Courts, and Their Times' published by Twelve Tables Press.

Dan has held roles such as Attorney, Counselor, Partner, General Counsel, and Secretary at notable firms like Howard & Howard Attorneys PLLC, Latimer LeVay Fyock LLC, and Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP among others.

He has also been involved in academia as an Adjunct Professor at The John Marshall Law School and as an Advisory Council member at Alliant Credit Union.

In addition to his legal practice, Dan has co-founded ventures like Black Label Booking, LLC and has served in various leadership capacities.

He is known for his contributions to legal literature and is the author of 'The Chief Justices', a book that focuses on the Supreme Court of the United States.
