Huh? Very interesting.
I don't normally share but this took me back. I was a second year apprentice building a gazebo on a roof patio. My journeyman and I were taking break and a women I knew from high school, who worked at this office, came up and said “Nash what are you doing here?” I explained and saw her face change from the excitement of seeing me to disappointment . She then said, if front of my 40 year old journeyman “You could of been so much more.” I was shocked and she walked away. I sat back down. My journeyman was laughing so hard. I asked why? He said what she doesn't understand is who we are and what we do and preceded to tell me his story. What is amazing is that I have become more than I had ever dreamed of. I thank all of the people I have cross paths with in my career and the bond that we have.
