Dan Parham

Product and Design Leader

Dan Parham is a product management leader with a background in strategy, innovation, and design. With experience as a former CEO, CPO, and founder, he excels in building and leading agile, cross-functional software teams through the entire product development process.

He co-founded and led the Center for Product Development at Child Mind Institute, where he oversaw a team focused on creating accessible digital solutions to scale mental health care globally.

As the co-founder and CEO of Neighborland, Dan developed a communications platform that facilitated collaboration between government agencies, real estate developers, and civic organizations. Neighborland engaged over 3 million residents, resulting in significant social and economic impact, before being acquired by Nextdoor.

Post-acquisition, Dan served as the GM and Head of Product for the Public Agency team at Nextdoor, leading initiatives for government agencies, civic organizations, and small businesses. He also spearheaded a research and development project for content creators.

Dan has provided advisory services on civic engagement technology for prestigious organizations like the Obama Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities. He has also mentored government technology startups at Matter, Hangar, and Code for America.

Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Dan held key roles at tech giants like Yahoo and Time Warner, where he directed user experience and creative design for various platforms.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he has also pursued studies at Davidson College and completed an Urban Innovation Fellowship in Urban Planning at Tulane University.
