Trump has one job to do at the 9/10 debate: Get Kamala Kamalasplaining

Before Kamala Harris was rebranded by the DC press corps as America's Momala, a once-in-a-generation force of nature with unparalleled legal acumen actually overqualified to be President, her uniquely mindless word jumbles were the subjects of mockery...by the Left, as in this Daily Show spoof.

If all comedy has some basis in truth, the truth is Trump's job at what may be his only debate with her is to get Kamala talking.

My admittedly counterintuitive view is that whoever talks the least in this matchup wins.

Of course, it's a bit more complicated than that as the substance of what is said matters no matter how succinct or verbose.

Trump's general charge is this: he must perform the function the DC press corps refuses to fulfill on that debate stage in September, on stages at his rallies and in the countless interviews he does on news programs without any Kamalaesque fanfare.

Trump must be the fact-intensive inquisitor.

Vice President Harris, as a Senator you sponsored legislation called the Zero-Emissions Vehicle Act that would mandate car manufacturers sell only electric vehicles by 2040. Now you say you're against electrical vehicle mandates. What changed your mind?

Trump might even offer a suggested line of defense to further set her up. Madame Vice President, does your opposition to EV mandates have something to do with the lack of demand for electric vehicles? Do you find the reverse-Robin-Hood notion of middle-income families subsidizing the purchase of six-figure EVs for the wealthy objectionable? Or was it something else?

Trump can even ask and answer questions directed at Kamala himself to prompt her to engage.

Vice President Harris, you and I both wanted to get our troops out of Afghanistan but the Gold Star families of the soldiers killed in the suicide bombing at Abbey Gate have endorsed me. Why do you think that is? Might it be because there is wanting to do something and then there is doing it sensibly. You said yourself you were the last person in the room and fully onboard with the planned evacuation that resulted in 13 dead soldiers and countless more Afghan allies who helped our soldiers. As President, will the buck stop with you or will you again pass the buck to someone else when things go wrong?

And Trump can prompt her to explain her 180s to align with him by attempting to build upon them.

Vice President Harris, you used to say that building a wall on America's southern border was just a "medieval vanity project" of mine and that you would never support funding for a border wall. Now you are willing to devote hundreds of millions of dollars to a border wall and while you feature photos of a border wall in your ads...

The problem with the canned calls from media hacks like Lester Holt for cooler heads to prevail in the wake of the failed Trump assassination attempt is not the discouragement of retributive political violence. That is proper where it is genuine.

The problem is the many high-profile pols like the current POTUS and their festooned coteries of pundits and propagandists who spent years rationalizing, condoning or even promoting political violence against those they now patronizingly call on to be calm. Their false pieties fan the flames.

General Secretary Joe's denials of his forays into the incendiary and victim-blaming fan the flames higher still.

However, decrying Biden's "bullseye" comment and other such bellicose rhetoric is playing right into the "both sides do it" moral confusion General Secretary Joe and his press corps seek to sow.

Belligerent political language directed at pols or even their supporters, which has been a feature of American politics from the country's inception, that otherwise stops short of a specific threat may often be coarse but it is also Constitutionally-protected. Call it out wherever appropriate but don't facilitate the censorious Left's penchant to turn speech they don't like into crimes by falsely asserting uncouth political remarks are the proximate cause of political violence.

Furthermore, if there is a discussion of political violence to be had it is about the violence inflicted on Americans by the New Bolsheviks' policies not their pronouncements.

Where politics truly is the proximate cause of violence is where:

The police are defunded.

Cash bail is prohibited.

Retail theft is not prosecuted.

Repeat offenders are released onto the streets while law-abiding citizens like Daniel Penny are prosecuted for protecting the public against those repeat offenders.

Amphibious assault vehicles are used to raid the home of a 70-year-old political consultant for an alleged non-violent offense.

A Seal-Team-Six-esque raid is used on a family in rural PA to arrest a pro-life dad who protected his son during a peaceful protest and who had offered to turn himself in.

Non-violent Trump supporters are indicted and imprisoned on cooked-up, unconstitutional charges (so said SCOTUS) of obstructing an official proceeding.

The FBI's Richmond Field Office maps out a plan to surveil Catholics who attend the Latin mass.

The U.S. Army labels pro-lifers and pro-life organizations as domestic terrorists.

In short, political violence occurs wherever you make a difference of opinion over a political or policy issue the basis to deprive an American citizen of their life, liberty or property. That is political violence.

And there has been plenty of that violence committed by the Biden administration the last four years as well as by the forever government Trump inherited previously.

Forget the ad hominem. Remember sic semper tyrannis. Depose the tyrants.
