Dan Rose is a seasoned professional who currently serves as Chairman of Coatue Ventures, following a successful career at Amazon and Facebook.

During his tenure at Amazon from 1999 to 2006, Dan Rose managed various retail divisions and played a key role in the inception of the Kindle.

Transitioning to Facebook in 2006, Dan rose to the position of Vice President and played a pivotal role in the company's exponential growth from 130 employees to 35,000 over 13 years.

Dan's responsibilities at Facebook included spearheading early monetization strategies, overseeing business development, leading mergers and acquisitions, and managing community operations.

His role as the primary liaison to strategic partners enabled him to lead global teams that managed diverse ecosystems encompassing media, mobile technologies, and commerce.

In addition to his corporate roles, Dan Rose has a strong investment portfolio with over 100 angel investments in companies like Gusto, TripActions, and Airtable.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dan is actively involved in the non-profit sector, having joined the board of REDF in 2013, an organization dedicated to aiding individuals facing employment barriers.

Dan Rose holds a BA in Sociology from Harvard University and has furthered his education in Strategy and Marketing at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Passionate about sports, Dan is an avid surfer and golfer, and he derives great satisfaction from collaborating with visionary entrepreneurs to shape the future.
