I had incredible experience at Hamptons Tech Week last week, one panel discussion truly captivated my attention: "The Future of Data and Privacy."

The panel, moderated by Dean Scaduto, delved deep into the realms of ethics, data collection, and the future of privacy. The panelists, Chuck Schaeffer Ph.D., a psychologist specializing in ethics, and Amarachi Miller, a seasoned product leader with experience across the data universe, brought unique perspectives with real world examples.

Here are the top three takeaways that resonated with me:

1️⃣ Consumer awareness about the extent of data collected on them remains shockingly low. This knowledge gap highlights the need for greater education and transparency in this digital age.

2️⃣ While Meta's global ARPU of $10.86 often takes the spotlight, it's crucial to recognize that other players, operating with less scrutiny, are generating substantial revenue in this space. It's a reminder that the data landscape extends far beyond a single company.

3️⃣ The industry is fortunate to have passionate individuals like Amarachi and Chuck championing the future of product development and regulation. Their genuine commitment to end-user well-being, transparency, and ethical commercialization of data is inspiring. 👍

Keep an eye on these two remarkable individuals! I also want to give a special shoutout to Stephen Sabo and the entire event team for curating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering high-quality content. #HamptonsTechWeek #DataPrivacy #Ethics #ProductLeadership #Transparency #DigitalTransformation #TechEvents
