Dan Webber is a seasoned technology executive who has spent over 24 years advising private and public enterprises around the world in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, innovation, design, analytics, advanced computing, and digital services. Notably, he has worked for 13 years in healthcare and biotech, where he served as Chief Information Officer, Security Officer, and Technology Officer. In addition, Dan has a strong background in manufacturing, technology, and hospitality companies.
Dan has successfully led the integration of technology and business processes for 56 acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers, while also evaluating another 150. In particular, while serving as Chief Information Officer at Bayer Visible Genetics, Dan designed, implemented, and envisioned the workflow process for the first FDA approved DNA-based sequencing system. Additionally, his pharmacogenomic systems supported drug discovery and research activities in the areas of HIV, HCV, HBV, and multiple areas of cancer.
Furthermore, Dan has designed and program-managed system infrastructures that support over 5,000 locations worldwide, including mobile technology, fleet management, and web-based linen management. These systems are currently in use in over 200 hospitals across the US. In his free time, Dan is an active blogger, thought leader, speaker, and is involved in several community groups.
Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He studied at Bob Jones University, the University of Kentucky, Calvary Baptist Academy, and Lexington Christian Academy. Dan's professional experience includes serving as CEO at Election Integrity Foundation, Vice President Technology, Executive Advisor at UST Global, VP, IT and Chief Information Officer at Angelica Corporation, and Director, Information Systems and Chief Information Officer at Visible Genetics, among others.

Hi Everyone, this is Dan’s wife Laura.
I want to wish everyone a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year.
My family and I want to express our deepest appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are grateful for the beautiful expressions of love and respect for Dan on Facebook and Linkedin. We have read them all, we are deeply touched knowing Dan had such a positive impact on so many people and organizations. Dan truly loved helping people and giving back. Either by making professional introductions, mentoring, assisting people in their job searches, and serving in the many charities that were dear to his heart.
People have prayed and are still praying for our family and we know God is sustaining us.
We are incredibly honored and humbled by the generosity of friends, family, neighbors, as well as the vast IT community that has shown support in so many ways. Folks have prayed with us, brought meals by, created an incredible gofundme account, as well as offered their expertise in helping us plan going forward. People have sent beautiful sympathy cards offering their condolences, as well as sent encouraging and comforting texts and calls. In addition to letting us know how Dan touched their lives throughout the years. We can’t even begin to tell you how much all of these actions have meant to us.
Dan’s parents, Jon Webber Sr. and LaVonne Webber also wanted to express how much they appreciate all the condolences, cards and calls they have received. They raised a good son that turned into the most loving husband and a father who loved his kids to the moon and back, infinity and beyond. Also, he learned to love people, and to give back. Lavonne said it best, “We thank God for blessing us with 55 years with him.”
Finally, I wanted to let you know my family and I are in the process of finalizing Dan’s Celebration of Life ceremony. We will post the final information as soon as we are able to confirm the plans. Thank you so much for your patience, love and support and how you have honored Dan’s life. He will be incredibly missed but never forgotten.
