✨I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of awe and gratitude at the incredible community we’ve built together during #First100Years celebrations and for Next 100 Years: Women In Law 🙌

I am feeling this strongly now as I’ve just returned from a trip to my place of birth where I am always reminded of where I started!

  • Manual worker parents, much missed 😢
  • Self-taught in English from 16 years old using fuzzy waves coming via the BBC World Service 📻🇬🇧
  • Lawyers in my village? Never met one as a child to be inspired to pursue a legal career ⚖️ so I became a journalist first (I saw that was a thing on TV)
  • I am a late comer to law, admitted The Law Society in my 30s!

💓My heart bursts with incredulity and gratitude when I look at the incredible people who have been supporting us over the years - including Lady Hale - and those who are patrons and champions of our latest campaign! It really is like a dream come true ✨

Each day, I want to continue to do what I can to #pavetheway for future generations coming into law to make their journey that little bit easier. This is why our 10th anniversary scholars fund was set up to give financial support to final year students - women and men - and encourage them to research the immense contribution of #womeninlaw to law and legal systems

Our journey has been nothing short of life changing for me for sure and, I hope, for others - and it’s all thanks to YOU!💪❤️

To keep this momentum going, we’re reaching out for your help! Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps us continue this legacy of inspiration - you can find the link in comments if you feel you wish to contribute. 🌱🎓

Let’s work together to pave the way for the next 100 years of success and impact! If you are an organisation interested in supporting our scholarship fund, please DM me 🙏

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey! Here’s to many more years of inspiration and growth! 🎉🌍
