Dana Slayton is a passionate advocate for community-centered foreign language education and intercultural dialogue.

With over four years of experience in teaching Arabic and English, Dana has a strong background in lesson planning, curriculum design, and language teaching to non-native speakers.

Through various educational experiences, such as being a National Security Language Initiative scholar and working at the Concordia Arabic Language Village, Dana has witnessed the transformative power of dynamic educational programs in nurturing empathetic global citizens.

As a Senior Event Planner for the Cornell Translator-Interpreter Program, Dana has actively contributed to language justice initiatives by recruiting and training student interpreters in critical-need languages.

Dana Slayton's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arabic Sociolinguistics from Cornell University, with additional studies in Arabic language and literature in Morocco and teaching Arabic as a foreign language in Rabat.

Throughout Dana's career, she has held various roles, including Program Development Associate at Legacy International, Curriculum Facilitator at Concordia Language Villages, and Social Media Marketing Intern at the International Center for Language Studies.
