A story of Thanks Years ago a poor little blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his bare feet and a sign which read – “I am Blind, please help me” There were a couple coins in his hat when a stranger walked by, stopped and took a few coins from his overcoat to place in the boys tattered hat. The stranger then took the boys sign and wrote something on the back side and replaced it with the back facing out. Soon, the boys old hat began to fill and fill higher with coins while more folks gathered and whispered among themselves. Late that afternoon the Stranger returned and the boy recognized the sound of his steps, the boy looked up and asked “Are you the Man who changed my sign this morning”? The Man said yes it was me, the boy then asked “what did you write on the back?” The Man said, “ I simply wrote the same thing you wrote but in a slightly different way.” “ I wrote on the back of your sign these words, Everyday is a Beautiful day, but I have never seen one” The boys side told the truth – he was blind, the Mans side also told the truth but the Mans version reminded the people how lucky they were that they could see each Beautiful Day. The boy was very thankful as his old tattered hat filled with coins as the Man walked on to help others. Be Thankful everyone 😉
