She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Physics Teaching from Southern Oregon University, studied Optical Science at the University of Arizona, and earned a Bachelors in Physics from Coe College.

She has held key positions such as Director of The STEMAZing Project at Pima County, Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy, and roles within organizations like The NEED Project.
