Last week I started a new position as Robotics Engineer at Medra! Medra is a startup focused on automating wetlab tasks so that scientists can more easily run experiments that pave the way for breakthrough discoveries.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help accelerate science research through robotics — and to do it with this small, mighty, and incredibly kind team who I got to know better on the slopes (best first day of work ever!).

I want to thank everyone who helped me on the journey to this job — sending your leads, looping me into your networks, sharing your encouragement, all of it. Your support means the world to me, and I’m thrilled about where I’ve landed. There’s a lot of exciting work ahead!

About a month ago, my team at Amazon was told to stop working on our project. I'm disappointed that we won't get to bring our product to market — it could have made a huge impact on the world — but I get to start a new adventure!

To that end, I'm casting a wide net and would love to hear your thoughts. Here’s what I'm considering so far:

-Founding/cofounding a startup, likely in the robotics or climate tech space -Joining an early-stage startup as a mechatronics/systems project lead, engineer, or engineering manager -Joining any company in a role where I'd get to work in a multidisciplinary setting on cutting-edge technology

The dream is to transform emerging technology into products that make the world a better place. I feel lucky to have so many people who can help me imagine what that looks like next — thank you in advance for your ideas and leads!

I’m also grateful to have had some more time on my hands. In the last month, I've been: -Backpacking solo in the Sierras, enjoying nature  -Spending time with family in Disneyland -Running pop-up food events for neighbors -Baking pizzas and playing pickleball with our team -Chatting with cool folks who are building cool things!

If you want to share your thoughts or just catch up, please reach out on Linkedin or via email at [email protected]
