There are times in life when you just “hear the music," and have some sense that the universe itself is calling. Four years ago, I met Charlie Welch and David Felzer while consulting for some Silicon Valley investors. My job was to make an “up/down” recommendation for investment on their battery technology venture - ZAPBATT Inc. The report that I delivered after my due diligence was simple: I am writing a check myself.
