Yesterday was my last day at Facebook, which I guess makes me now, an "ex-Facebooker."

This was probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever made in my life because I treasured every moment I had as an Account Manager at the tech company. It was the ride of a lifetime to start at the company out of college, sharpen my skills as a marketer, and build up the FinTech business in North America. As I wrote in a post internally to the team, I attribute it to being surrounded by some of the smartest and greatest people I know driving the business (even virtually!).

Looking back on my last 3 years, what they didn't teach me in school was how important your authentic voice is in making an impact with your peers. As a child of first generation Chinese immigrant parents, I’ve always been told "not to rock the boat" and stick to doing good work. As my mentors and ERG friends have shown me, my voice DOES matter whether it's advocating for yourself or your community. Even as I'm concluding one part of my journey, I hope I've made my mark and left the company (and my clients) better than when I found it.

Special thanks to Katherine Shappley, Kathleen Holly Umbriaco, Pablo Nicholls, and Amanda Parer for being some of my biggest advocates and believing in me throughout my time. I hope to see you all real soon in my career journey and can't wait for the day our paths cross again.
