Daniel Hornett

Assistant Engineer at County of Napa

Daniel Hornett is a humanitarian engineer with a focus on policy and multilateral collaboration. He is an engineer in training who passed the national Professional Engineer licensure exam in October 2020.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. He also attended California High School.

Throughout his career, Daniel has held various roles in different organizations. He served as an Assistant Engineer at the County of Napa and was the Co-Founder and CEO of The Lens. He also worked as a Junior Engineer at the County of Napa and as an SPI Focal Point for Science Communication and Citizen Science at the UN Major Group for Children and Youth.

Daniel's past positions include serving as the President of Engineers Without Borders USA, Director, Producer at Yellow Glass Media, US and Canada Correspondent at Fair Air Coalition, and Project Manager at Engineers Without Borders USA.
