Daniel Mack

Associate Dean of Libraries, Collection Strategies and Services, University of Maryland

Daniel Mack is an accomplished professional with a diverse academic background and extensive experience in library services and academia.

He obtained a Master of Arts in Ancient History from The University of Akron, a Master of Library Science from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, History, and Latin from Youngstown State University.

Daniel currently serves as the Associate Dean of Collection Strategies and Services at the University of Maryland. Prior to this role, he held various positions at the same institution, including Director and Deputy Director of Collection Management and Special Collections.

Daniel has also served in different capacities at Penn State University, such as the Tombros Librarian for Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Professor of Classics, and Head of the George and Sherry Middlemas Arts and Humanities Library.

His career includes roles as a Humanities Librarian, Reference Librarian, and Assistant Professor of Bibliography at various institutions like Penn State Harrisburg, Dauphin County Prison, and The University of Akron.
