It’s Tax Day.
More specifically, it’s the federal deadline to file individual income tax returns or request an extension. (Friendly reminder to do one of those things today if you haven’t.)
Maybe you filed already and you’re getting a refund. Yay! But that might mean that you paid more estimated taxes than needed, which probably means you made less you thought this year. Booo!

I know the feeling.
The first year I freelanced, I made $60k. I was pumped. But nobody told me I owed taxes on that income. I genuinely had no idea.
