Daniel Mallinson is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Administration at Penn State Harrisburg. His research focuses on understanding the adoption of innovative policies by states and the impact of political phenomena like polarization on policy diffusion. He has a keen interest in areas such as drug policy, environmental and energy policy, and criminal justice reform. Daniel is open to speaking engagements on his research, Pennsylvania politics, and state governance. His teaching aligns with his research interests and includes courses on American politics, the bureaucratic state, government and politics of American states, public policy analysis, seminars in environmental and health policy, research methods, data analysis, and state government administration.
