Update Incoming!
The past 2.5 years at Goldman Sachs have been an unforeseeably wonderful ride. I’m grateful to have worked with many talented colleagues to advance #LaunchWithGS' mission to deploy more capital to underestimated founders and funders, and encouraged by the recent explosive growth of this ecosystem. I can’t wait to see today’s diverse-led emerging funds become tomorrow’s institutionalized funds and the leading voices of a better VC industry.
By God’s grace, my next chapter begins soon at Harvard Business School! Though my experiences on Wall Street certainly color my vision for where my career might go, I’ve never been slow to admit that the best ideas usually come from others in my network. So if anyone reading this is thinking - “Daniel definitely needs to consider X after HBS” or “Daniel would be great in Y seat” - please reach out.
Special thanks to some of the champions that have carried me this far - my success is yours too. Suzanne Gauron, Regina Green, Seun Toye-Kayode, Megan Hogan, Michelle Wang, Sierra Blake, Fidel Vargas, Jack Schuler, Lulu Curiel, Adrien Fraise - and so many more among you. And of course, my family and mother, who watches over me from a better place.
Excited for the adventures to come.
One of the joys of my job is seeing the #LaunchWithGS ecosystem coming together to elevate diverse entrepreneurs. Today, our 2023 US Entrepreneur Cohort learned virtually about how their companies should navigate exit opportunities from 2 accomplished founders in the Goldman Sachs network - Edrizio De La Cruz and Krystle Mobayeni. Edrizio and Krystle both sold their companies to Fortune 500 acquirers in 2021 and shared some hard-earned insights about the experience with our Cohort founders. Edrizio and Arcus, a Mastercard company were also participants in the 2021 US Entrepreneur Cohort, a full circle moment we are very proud of.
