Daniella Maamari

Urban Designer at Lemay - Lead Researcher at the MIT Future Heritage Lab

Daniella Maamari is a Lebanese Canadian architect and urban designer with a diverse background in academic, curatorial, and practical projects in the built environment.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Lebanese American University and a Master's of Science in Architecture Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where her coursework covered urban planning, Islamic architecture, art culture technology, and architectural history.

Currently, Daniella is a part-time researcher and urban designer. She is involved in designing an online course on the ethics of art and design processes in refugee camps at the MIT Future Heritage Lab and works as an Urban Designer at Lemay's Montreal office.

With past experiences ranging from residential research consultant to intern architect, designer, researcher, and urban designer at various prestigious firms like MVRDV, Hashim Sarkis Studios, and Coup Architects, Daniella has a robust professional background.

Her involvement as Lead Researcher at the MIT Future Heritage Lab and her teaching and research assistant roles at MIT showcase her commitment to academia and research in the field of architecture and urban design.
