Highlights
💥 What a week! As always, Collision Conf was such an incredible whirlwind of new connections, meaningful catch ups, and beautiful back drops to bring our ecosystem together. Thank you to everyone who hosted thoughtful gatherings to make the magic happen!
🌴 Monday was a blast on the harbourfront with TechTO summer social and Panache Ventures Collision Mixer buzzing late into the night.
🌊 Tuesday brought a fabulous group of us together for the annual Canadian Women in VC Collision networking lunch, followed by the most perfect yacht adventure with founders and funders hosted by Storytime Capital and the Fasken Emerging Tech crew (though, according to Neil, I'm going to have to look into the impact/risk implications of Kate and I traveling on the same vessel going forward... 😂)
The absolute highlight was our very own NBC Tech Leaders Dinner on Tuesday evening, which brought together an incredible group of founders, operators, and investors for meaningful conversations. There's nothing quite like the magic of peer-to-peer, no agenda gatherings.
🎤 Wednesday kicked off with a powerhouse panel at the DMZ, where I had the pleasure of joining fabulous co-panelists Lizaveta and Margaret alongside our shining moderator William Ma to talk all things early-stage financial road mapping - a critical, but super under explored topic in the startup world. Thank you to Annie and Olivia for organizing, and to BDC for powering this series!
Our friends at Mantle hosted a fantastic open house to bring together a heavy-hitting room of OG legacy greats and up-and-comers in the founder and funder world, and the day capped off with an awesome 5-7 Retox shindig (a stealth event dreamed up by Rob, Kris and I 😎) to offer something different and low-key alongside the fast-paced week (complete with whisky tasing, Balloon 🎈 water, and lots of laughs)!
Thursday was my chance to finally catch up with folks at the conference including my awesome Metronome peeps Susan and ⚡️ Paul, and Jennifer McNaughton, who is the shining star who has always made my Collision experience an 11/10 🙏🏼
Perhaps the perfect ending to the week was a bit of pampering with a delightful group of women at the annual Dentons Summer Spa event at Majesty's Pleasure - thank you Christine and Kenda for such a treat and ideal way to wind down from all the excitement 💅🏼
⁉ It's bittersweet to see Collision set sail to Vancouver - it has been a true marquee event for our ecosystem since 2019, and I'm excited to see how they continue to build their legacy from here! Thank you for everything!

You're a startup founder/operator - of course you've got your financial roadmap figured out...or do you? 👀
Super pumped to tackle this essential topic with some fabulous peers next week at DMZ’s Women in Tech Breakfast - Collision edition! ☀ The magic happens Wed, June 19th, 8:30am-10am.
I'm excited to join fellow panellists Lizaveta Akhvledziani, CFA (Chexy), and Margaret Jones (Founding CFO, Partnerstack) where we'll share insights on managing finances, maximizing cash efficiency, and scaling your startup before (and after) bringing a CFO on board. Our talk will be moderated by my good pal William Ma (MaRS IAF), who's no stranger to all things banking, startup finance and VC 💰
Powered by BDC Capital’s Women in Technology and Thrive Venture Funds and featuring MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) and National Bank of Canada Tech & Innovation Banking - this is your prime opportunity to gain actionable tips and tools to navigate financial management – wherever you are in your business journey.
Mix and mingle with tech-savvy women and allies, expand your network and get inspired!
