Danisha Bhaloo-Shivji, CFRE, is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and serves as the Development & Communications Manager with Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton.

In her volunteer roles, Danisha is actively involved in various organizations such as the City of Calgary's Social Wellbeing Advisory Committee, United Way Centraide Canada, United Way Calgary, Association of Fundraising Professionals' Women's Impact Council, and Calgary John Howard Society.

Her previous engagements include serving as a Senator for the University of Alberta, a Candidate for the Ward 12 Edmonton City Council By-Election in 2016, and holding positions on boards like Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board of Canada, Edmonton John Howard Society, and Edmonton Opera.

Danisha's dedication to community service has been acknowledged through accolades like the Government of Alberta Stars of Alberta Award, University of Alberta Alumni Award, Avenue Magazine Edmonton's Top 40 under 40, and Edmontonians' Magazine's Sizzling 20 under 30.

Danisha's educational background includes a Professional Graduate Certificate from Harvard University, a Graduate Diploma from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta.

Throughout her career, Danisha has held roles such as Manager of Fund Development at Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters, Coordinator of In School Programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal, Director of Programming at Edmonton Inner City Children's Program, and Adult Probation Officer with the Government of Alberta.

Currently, Danisha resides in Calgary with her husband and daughter.
