Highlights
🚫🃏 This is not an April Fool: university and college email for life may soon be dead. If you have a .edu address forwarding to a personal email account here's what you need to know:
1️⃣ Starting April 1, Google and the other Big 3 email providers will begin enforcing new, more stringent email security measures 2️⃣ This is a good thing, but it means that email forwarding will be less reliable for all users across all platforms 3️⃣ If you have a .edu forwarding to your personal Gmail, Yahoo, or Apple account, messages may end up in Spam or not reach you at all 4️⃣ If your university or college provides a hosted mail service (i.e. does not forward to a personal account) it should be unaffected
✨ If you use your .edu for anything important switch it now to your personal email address to avoid missed communications.

Just received the LinkedIn prompt to verify my profile using CLEAR.
I can see value in doing this, especially given the increase in spam and fake profiles on here, but not at the cost of using a privacy-invasive service.
Social vouching also has problems. There has to be a better solution?
