Highlights
I woke up today not only saturated in sweat from what was a rather vigorous night of questionable dreams. But in doing so, I realized what was really happening is that I am just generally bloody ‘saturated’. We all are. This is not a one off exclusive happening . No matter where you turn , the deluge of quite frankly ‘rubbish’ one has to curate through daily is exhausting, time wasting, and my god discouraging as to where our confidence has gone in being able to discriminate what we truly need to put out there. And then you ask yourself why mental health is perilous, and why people are getting physically ill more, and why there is an upturn of unhealthy recreational consumption, and worse, unnecessary departures from this earth. Need I say more. We are chickens without heads. And the fear of missing out amplifies it to a point of the type of experience you have similarly to that of ‘addiction’ behavior. This reminds me of a scene in a movie that in my mind continuously sticks with me as a way to truly simplify the situation we are in for the most basic human to the most complicated. Maybe, just maybe, it might be a form of karma to the noise and unnecessary distraction we willingly or unwillingly appear to continuously swallow and digest. It’s the scene in ‘ Pretty Woman ‘ where Julia Roberts is kneeling between Richard Gere’s legs as he sits back in anguish after a hard day’s work. She looks up at him and she says “ What do you want “ , and he replies “ What do you do?” and she replies “ Everything”. Kinda reminds me of our business world. Truth: we say we can do everything when actually we/they only want one thing. And in this case it is damn obvious!!! Maybe , just maybe we should focus on the obvious!!! That’s all.
Best quote of the day from the Mayor of Mesa Arizona. Id love to see this across humanity! Period.
“He also argued that Harris represents a return to “decency” in politics.”
That’s all.
