I had to take a moment to shout out my wife, Heather Guidice … This month marks the 5 year anniversary since she launched Kona Compost!!!
What started out as a sudden love for gardening, turned into bringing home food scraps from coworkers' at her corporate job that she added to the compost in our backyard, to a layoff that gave her the chance to take the leap -- has blossomed into a business that is literally saving the world! 🌎
Entrepreneurship is NO JOKE!! Heather has single handedly run her entire business (well, not counting our dog Kona’s supervisory role lol) this entire time and in the compost world, that means hauling and moving food waste — of which she has processed over 225,000+ pounds!!! 🤯
And Heather’s heroic efforts don’t stop there! She recently launched a mobile refillery concept, Fill + Flourish, that has been swirling around in her mind for the past couple years. Helping make sustainability easier in all areas of life! 🌱
Heather is literal proof that you can make your dreams a reality and rewrite the playbook of your life. Her journey has been a long and winding one that I have felt so privileged to witness. She is my inspiration today and every day.
