1,000. It’s a big number. When you think of it in terms of years of university scholarships, it becomes massive.
On Saturday night, Marshall Roslyn and I, alongside the rest of the Singapore board, helped throw a fundraising event for U-Go, which raised SGD 1.2 million. That million dollar number translates into 1,000 years of university scholarships for incredibly bright and ambitious young women from low-income countries across Asia and Africa.
We couldn’t be prouder…Of our board, for all the work that went into throwing such an amazing party. Of Elvie Palma, a scholar who flew in from Manila, to share how U-Go’s sponsorship has changed her life. Of all the guests, that were beyond generous and reached deep into their hearts and pockets. And of our table: hands-down Best. Table. Ever!
